A self-taught violinist at the age of 14, Michael has been performing and breaking boundaries across the United States. After witnessing his first orchestral concert in high school, he fell in love with how music could transform an audience, and within two short weeks, he had purchased a student violin from his local music store. One year later, he performed at his first NYSSMA festival and was awarded as an All-County alternate. Another year later, he became Concertmaster of the Metropolitan Youth Orchestra of NY.

From classical to opera to musical theater, Michael has developed a true passion for the arts, and has worked tirelessly to make a name for himself. Whether you have performed with him or have been to one of his many live performances, you know Michael always brings 100%, and his technical abilities and versatility definitely show it. He has been hired by major orchestras such as the American Symphony Orchestra, Boise Philharmonic Orchestra, Portland Symphony Orchestra, Helena Symphony Orchestra, Boulder Philharmonic Orchestra, Tulsa Symphony Orchestra, San Juan Symphony Orchestra, among others.

Michael is also a valued pit musician and violin/viola doubler, and has performed in various ballets, opera, and musical theatre productions in and around NYC. He recently held the violin chair in Off-Broadway's Holy Rollers and served as Concertmaster of Rodger and Hammerstein's Cinderella at the Westport Country Playhouse in Fairfield, CT for a limited run. Michael also recently completed a successful run of A Little Night Music at the Ogunquit Playhouse in Maine. Michael also brings valuable orchestral experience in personnel management and board leadership.

On top of his accomplishments in music, Michael also holds degrees in Nursing and Psychology/Biology, working as a Registered Nurse in New York State. He is also an avid outdoorsman, spending much of his free time hiking, skiing, and enjoying life with his partner.

Finally, Michael was adopted by two loving parents at just 10 days old, and has 16 siblings in all. Please continue to explore this site to learn more about everyone's favorite classical and pit musician, among other things!
